Position: Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality roads, bridges, track, and infrastructure refurbishment projects across Scotland.
Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, supporting operational teams, and driving overall project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Maximise valuations and ensure timely certification and payments.
- Manage and agree contract variations efficiently.
- Forecast costs and values across all project elements.
- Work closely with operational teams to procure labour, materials, and subcontractors within budget and timescales.
- Monitor on-site progress and issue required contractual notices on time.
- Review and assess subcontractor quotations, ensuring best value and compliance.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and prepare final accounts accurately.
Requirements
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying (HND, Degree, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role.
- Background in bridges, roads, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Experience in concrete repair projects is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient with key cost management and estimating software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel to sites as required.
