DK Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading onshore oil & gas operator who are seeking a skilled EC&I Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment, maintaining and supporting essential electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.

The Role
As an onshore EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across onshore oil & gas facilities. You will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure plant reliability, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission electrical, control, and instrumentation systems

  • Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment

  • Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

  • Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and instrumentation drawings

  • Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and calibration records

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified EC&I / Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Proven experience in onshore oil & gas or heavy industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control loops

  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, or DCS systems advantageous

  • Familiarity with safe working practices and site-specific safety procedures

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
