DK Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading onshore oil & gas operator who are seeking a skilled EC&I Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment, maintaining and supporting essential electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
The Role
As an onshore EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across onshore oil & gas facilities. You will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure plant reliability, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and commission electrical, control, and instrumentation systems

Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment

Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and instrumentation drawings

Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and calibration records
Candidate Profile

Qualified EC&I / Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

Proven experience in onshore oil & gas or heavy industrial environments

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control loops

Experience with PLCs, SCADA, or DCS systems advantageous

Familiarity with safe working practices and site-specific safety procedures

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team
