Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Engineering Projects: Collaborate with a skilled team of engineers, driving projects from concept to completion.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with clients, third-party consultants, and suppliers to understand project requirements and build strong relationships.
- Project Management: Create and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring deliverables align with client expectations.
- Design Development: Develop detailed designs, supported by robust risk assessments and calculations.
- On-Site Oversight: Oversee the commissioning of plant and equipment, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Mentorship: Foster the growth of junior engineers by sharing knowledge and experience.
- Safety First: Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices within the team.
Essential Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and industry practices.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, along with FEA analysis tools.
- Proven experience in leading engineering projects and managing teams.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SolidWorks 3D, Mathcad, and Staad Software.
- Understanding of structural steel design principles.
- Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
- Practical workshop experience to complement design expertise.
