Our client, a forward thinking, established firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Audit Senior to join their growing team in Fareham.

You will be responsible for dealing with audits from planning through to completion, playing a key part of the audit team, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standard and within deadlines. You will be dealing with a varied portfolio of clients including those in construction, marine, estate agents, accountancy, manufacturing and property development.

Key duties:-

  • Planning, execution and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners.
  • Preparation of accounts, reports and other assignments as required.
  • Co-ordinate planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm.
  • Communicating and building relationships with clients and related third parties.
  • Leading on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget.
  • Business development including promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects.
  • Development and supervision of trainees.
  • Accounts preparation for non-audit clients and drafting of company tax computations.

You will ideally have at least 3 years UK practice experience, with good technical knowledge of audit, FRS 102 and accounts and hold a professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA, although study support will be offered if required.

A good working knowledge of software such as Xero, Sage, Caseware and CCH would also be an advantage.

Access to your own vehicle would also be beneficial due to travel to client premises.
