Whether you're a seasoned Financial Controller or a strong senior accountant ready to step up, this could be your next great move.Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

Managing a finance team of four, supporting their development and ensuring effective day-to-day operations
Leading the month-end close process, ensuring key deadlines are met
Reviewing internal processes and suggesting improvements to policies, procedures and controls
Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts and managing the external audit
Preparing VAT returns and managing cashflow, tax and banking responsibilities
Maintaining accurate account reconciliations for all key balance sheet and P&L accounts

What you will need:

Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Senior Technical Accountant / Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant
To be a qualified accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
A strong technical accounting background, ideally with audit experience
To be a confident team leader, able to work at pace and adapt to change
Proficiency in Excel (intermediate) and familiarity with Sage 200 or similar systems
