Whether you're a seasoned Financial Controller or a strong senior accountant ready to step up, this could be your next great move.Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing a finance team of four, supporting their development and ensuring effective day-to-day operations
  • Leading the month-end close process, ensuring key deadlines are met
  • Reviewing internal processes and suggesting improvements to policies, procedures and controls
  • Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts and managing the external audit
  • Preparing VAT returns and managing cashflow, tax and banking responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate account reconciliations for all key balance sheet and P&L accounts
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Senior Technical Accountant / Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant
  • To be a qualified accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • A strong technical accounting background, ideally with audit experience
  • To be a confident team leader, able to work at pace and adapt to change
  • Proficiency in Excel (intermediate) and familiarity with Sage 200 or similar systems
