Superb opportunity to join an established high quality IT VAR / MSP which is part of the UK's largest privately owned IT company. This is a significant business with c200 employees, an annual turnover of c£100m. The company operates in the mid-market predominately in the UK and internationally. Typical clients are x100 to a number of thousand people in size. You will be assigned as a dedicated Account Manager for a number of key clients.
**Hybrid working / remote work from home available** Min once per month in the office. You can be in more frequently if you would like.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To contribute to the overall efforts of the Sales team in achieving service and revenue targets
- To effectively support in managing a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely renewal payments through communication by phone, email, and where necessary, face-to-face meetings
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers through written and verbal contact
- To build strong working relationships within each client account, expanding all contact networks to obtain maximum buy-in potential through quarterly contact.
- To identify cross and up-sell opportunities within accounts, pass qualified leads to the relevant areas, and oversee their progress
- To make effective use of internal and external databases to research and establish a business need/case for the client
- To develop and implement an individual account strategy that ensures individual client account needs are understood and surpassed
- Effectively manage time to ensure all visits, calls, actions, and research & development are achieved
- To competently manage an individual renewals pipeline ensuring all data is current and complete
- To keep accurate and comprehensive records of all account, contact, and communication details in CRM
- To produce monthly and ad-hoc reports for internal sales meetings
- To recognise the needs of the whole team and wherever possible absorb any actions to assist with the overall success of the team including taking call
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :
- Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment (in a VAR or MSP)
- Previous account management experience desirable, preferably in an IT environment
- Experience in upselling or cross selling a range of products or services
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple clients.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, for working with a range of internal colleagues and customers
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to self-teach a wide variant of technology messages
- Understanding industry language
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally is essential.
The starting salary range is £28k to £35k with an annual performance bonus of 30% paid monthly. Good benefits package including 25 days holiday. Flexible hybrid working.
