A new opportunity has arisen for a proactive and hands-on Management Accountant to join a well-established, international engineering business based in Fareham. Part of a globally renowned group, the business operates at the forefront of technology and offers a collaborative, forward-thinking environment with excellent benefits and hybrid working.
This role would suit a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) looking to gain broad exposure across financial operations, reporting, and business partnering. Working closely with the VP of Finance, the position offers strong mentoring and scope for development.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory reports for group submission.
- Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis.
- Management of VAT returns, payroll preparation, and fixed asset register.
- Responsibility for reconciliations, payment runs, and reviewing expense claims.
- Supporting the debt collection process and managing customer account allocations.
- Assisting with annual audit preparation and ad hoc finance projects.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and banks.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or newly qualified, with 3–5 years of experience in a finance role.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience across month-end processes.
- Comfortable managing a varied workload in a deadline-driven environment.
- Confident communicator, capable of building relationships across the business.
- ERP system experience and good Excel skills preferred.
