CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Fareham, Hampshire, to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a contract basis. This assignment is expected to last approximately 6–9 months, covering a key period of sickness within the organisation.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

Bookkeeping and reconciliation of all bank accounts
Assistance with monthly intercompany confirmations and loan revaluations
Assistance with the month end reporting process
Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
Assistance with preparation of the annual financial statements

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

Part qualified or qualified is preferred but not essential (i.e. AAT)
A solid background in finance with experience of running the accounts to trial balance stage
Working knowledge of debits and credits
Available to work in a small finance team and occasionally in a standalone capacity
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
