Quality Engineer

Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team in Fareham.


Production Quality Assurance

Monitor and improve production workmanship standards, working with the operations team to ensure suitable technician training and monitoring.

Inspection, including first article inspection reports.

Analyse and categorise production rework, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Customer Quality Assurance

Customer complaint and non-conformance investigation, communication and corrective action implementation.

Hosting customer inspection and audit visits.

Product recall and field upgrade management.

Customer satisfaction measurement and reporting

Engineering and Project Quality Assurance

Involvement with the product design process, including active participation in design reviews.

Ensuring robust validation and verification activities at appropriate stages in the design process.

Working with the New Product Introduction team to ensure new products are suitably designed for efficient manufacture.

Supplier Quality Assurance:

Work with the purchasing team to select, assess and approve suitable suppliers.

Liaise with suppliers to identify root causes of non-conforming materials and implement corrective actions.

Monitor, measure and report supplier performance.


Required skills & experience:

  • 3 years + experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing organisation
  • Inspection of electrical, electronic and mechanical parts, assemblies and products against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience leasing with customer and suppliers
  • Route cause analysis and corrective actions

Working hours:37.5 hours per week.
