PE/Dance Teacher – Job Share Option (Maternity Cover)

We’re working with a top Hampshire secondary school in the Fareham area, and they’re looking for a PE Teacher with a real interest in teaching Dance (or a dedicated Dance specialist) to cover a one-year maternity leave from January 2026.

The school is also open to candidates who can commit on a long-term supply basis until July 2025, so there is flexibility depending on your availability.

Final-year trainees can also be considered - especially those able to do part-time from January and full-time from March/April.

The Role

• Teach Dance across KS3–KS4
• PE specialists: Dance will be your main timetable focus, with the option to support PE where needed
• Plan and deliver engaging, energetic lessons that build confidence and creativity
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Work within a supportive PE team who will help you settle in and succeed

Requirements

• QTS or working towards it (final-year trainees welcome)
• Ability to teach Dance at KS3–KS4
• PE Teachers must enjoy and feel confident teaching Dance as their main timetable
• Organised, positive and committed to supporting young people
• Team player who enjoys sharing good practice
