This 12-month fixed-term contract offers the chance to lead on a pipeline of exciting, strategically important tenders and make a real impact on our business growth.

Although this is a fixed-term contract, there's genuine opportunity to leave a legacy. You’ll take ownership of some of our most significant bids and proposals - contributing directly to our strategic goals and working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Your role will include:

  • Content leadership: Lead the creative process, shaping win themes, writing persuasive narratives, and coordinating stakeholders to ensure compelling, well-structured and visually impactful proposals.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather input, challenge assumptions, and ensure bids reflect strategic priorities and key differentiators.
  • End-to-end bid ownership: Take full ownership of high-value and complex proposals—from qualification through to submission—ensuring deadlines are met and internal governance is adhered to.
  • Process & quality oversight: Lead bid reviews, drive improvements in content quality, and support best practice across the team, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching & mentoring: Support the development of more junior bid team members by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and helping to shape our bid library and approach.
  • Commercial insight: Use your understanding of pricing models, risk mitigation and client drivers to strengthen our proposals and position us as a trusted partner.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience managing high-value, strategic bids with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
  • Ability to engage, influence and challenge stakeholders of all levels with confidence
  • Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a keen understanding of client needs and business drivers
  • An organised, proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement
  • A collaborative leadership style that supports and inspires others

What we offer:

  • A great team: Our team has a great atmosphere and a desire to win, having won Team of the Year (twice)! We've received numerous personal awards and enjoy regular team socials, alongside our wider Strategic Sales Team! We even have the odd book club meet up for keen readers!
  • Opportunity to expand your current experience: Our team all started out as strong writers with an interest in learning and we’ve supported them in becoming passionate Bid Writers and Managers.
