Prospero Teaching are working with a nurturing alternative provision in Porchester that supports secondary-aged students with high anxiety and complex SEMH needs. They're looking for compassionate, resilient Learning Support Coaches to join their dedicated team and make a genuine impact.
This isn't just a support role-it's a chance to be a trusted adult for young people who've struggled to find their place in mainstream education. You'll help them feel safe, heard, and capable of growth.
Who Fits This Role?

- Psychology or counselling
- Youth work or mentoring
- Sports coaching
- Care or social work
- Experience with SEN/SEMH
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting students with high anxiety and SEMH needs
- Using trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour
- Building consistent, respectful relationships
- Encouraging emotional regulation, self-esteem, and learning engagement
What We're Looking For
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible mindset
- Experience with SEMH, anxiety, or communication challenges is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude
- A commitment to helping students succeed-especially when it's tough
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- References covering the last 24 months
