Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants and Mentors to join a vibrant mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students aged 11-16 in their academic journey, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a classroom environment.

Role Overview You'll work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students who may need additional help with behaviour, engagement, or learning. Whether working one-to-one or in small groups, your role will be key in promoting confidence, motivation, and progress.

  • Have strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

  • Are passionate about motivating students and encouraging participation

  • Communicate effectively with staff and pupils

  • Are reflective, proactive, and eager to learn

  • Have experience supporting young people in an educational setting

Requirements To be eligible, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

  • Provide two professional references related to working with children
