General / Operations Manager Commercial Solar
Location: Portsmouth / Southampton area (hybrid flexibility considered)
Salary: £55,000 £70,000 per annum + performance bonus + benefits

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced General or Operations Manager to lead the growth and delivery of a thriving Commercial Solar division for a well-established renewable energy business on the South Coast.
The Role:Youll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the commercial solar arm, overseeing installations, managing teams, and building strong client relationships. This is a key leadership role, perfect for someone with deep experience in solar PV and a solid network in the Portsmouth / Southampton region.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead commercial solar operations, from project planning through to final delivery
- Manage subcontractors, internal teams, and third-party suppliers
- Ensure quality assurance, health & safety, and compliance standards are met
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and labour partners
- Drive efficiency, profitability, and operational excellence
- Proven experience in the commercial solar or wider renewable energy sector
- Established labour and client networks across the South Coast
- Strong leadership skills and commercial acumen
- Known and respected within the industry for delivering high-quality projects
- Comfortable operating autonomously with a results-driven mindset
- Salary between £55,000 £70,000 per annum
