We are currently recruiting for a Graduate Production Planner to work for our Whiteley based client. It will require communicating with procurement departments, production teams and internal stakeholders. You and the team will be responsible for analysing materials levels and production capacity to ensure deadlines are met and adjusting them where needed. Taking a proactive approach to problem solving will be essential. The Role

This is very much a busy supply chain/production role within technical manufacturing. You must be capable of building strong relationships and must enjoy problem solving. Your duties will include:

  • Analysing stock levels and production capacity to meet deadlines
  • Setting all production deadlines on new requisitions
  • Understanding why production deadlines are not met and adjusting them accordingly
  • Identifying work release orders and confirming those that can be produces on the available manufacturing capacity
  • Using ERP reports to produce daily supply reviews
  • Attending senior meetings to communicate the status of the production plan
  • Ensuring that production activity conforms to best practise principles

The Ideal Candidate

In order to be considered for this role you will ideally need to be educated to a degree level or equivalent and an exposure to supply chain or production/manufacturing would be an advantage. You will be responsible for your own work so you must demonstrate good leadership skills. Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
