Are you a qualified plumber or heating engineer with hands-on experience in Air Source Heat Pumps? Thinking about stepping away from the tools and into a role where you can share your knowledge and support the UKs journey to Net Zero?
At SERT, were expanding our training team and looking for a Plumbing & Heating Trainer to deliver high-quality, face-to-face learning at our flagship centre in Whiteley. Youll work with experienced professionals looking to transition into low-carbon technologies, such as Air Source, Solar Thermal, and other modern heating systems.
What Youll DoDeliver practical and classroom-based training in Air Source Heat Pump systems including installation, commissioning, and fault finding
Guide learners through LCL Awards and OFTEC-accredited qualifications
Support delivery of Water Regulations, hot water systems, and related short courses (training provided if needed)
Play a vital role in preparing engineers for the green energy transition
You bring the technical expertisewell fund and support your Level 3 Award in Education & Training, assessor qualifications (TAQA/A1), and any CPD required to become approved under LCL and OFTEC standards.
What Youll BringPlumbing or domestic heating qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or 3 minimum)
Experience installing and maintaining Air Source Heat Pumps (MCS/manufacturer training welcome)
Understanding of system design, diagnostics, and compliance
Clear communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed
Whiteley-based, purpose-built training facilities
Delivery of accredited qualifications via LCL Awards and OFTEC
