Payroll Specialist – UK, EMEA & ACE
Urgent requirement - Fixed Term Contract 8 months – potential to extend
Full Time Equivalent Salary to £32K per annum
Reed Accountancy are working with this renowned manufacturer in Fareham to support in recruiting a Payroll Specialist, where you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across the UK, EMEA, and ACE regions. This role is crucial in ensuring that the payroll operations run smoothly and efficiently, supporting 14 entities across various countries.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver accurate and compliant payroll, liaising with HR and country teams to ensure adherence to country-specific procedures.
- Manage and deliver payrolls according to the agreed schedules for multiple countries.
- Process and check new starters, leavers, and all changes prior to payroll processing.
- Assist with payroll projects such as system upgrades and data validation between CRM and payroll systems.
- Own and manage client escalations, implementing and testing changes in the payroll application.
- Manage relationships with payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Enhance and develop payroll processes and procedures in collaboration with the Assistant Payroll Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and perform self-audits and SOX tests on payroll processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience with payroll systems, preferably ADP.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment and payroll legislation, including tax year-end procedures.
- Proven ability as a credible payroll practitioner.
- Ability to work independently with high initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven payroll accounting skills.
- Experience in managing high volumes of work and meeting tight deadlines.
- CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
Experience:
- Experience in a payroll function within a similarly scaled and complex organization.
- Experience processing payrolls for the UK, Europe, and ACE regions.
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong background in customer support.
