With over 50 years of experience specialising in deep drainage, pipelines, pump stations, and temporary works, this company has a strong track record of delivering projects for major clients, including Southern Water and Thames Water

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in below-ground civil engineering projects, particularly within the water industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, contracts, and ensuring financial efficiency across various projects.?

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project expenditures.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to monitor project progress and financial performance.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate contracts and resolve financial issues.
Ensure accurate and timely billing and manage cash flow effectively.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.?

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor ideally in below-ground civil engineering projects.
Proven experience in the water industry, with knowledge of Southern Water's standards and procedures being advantageous.
Strong understanding of cost management, contract law, and procurement processes.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Salary & Additional Benefits

£50,000-£60,000 - Dependent on experience
