Behaviour Support Assistant – Permanent Role

Location: Fareham
Start Date: October 2025 (Interviews in early September)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you ready to make a real difference in young people’s lives? GSL Education is excited to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Fareham that is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and excellent conflict resolution abilities to play a key role in supporting students who need additional guidance outside the main classroom or within the school’s resource base.

The Role:

  • Provide targeted support for students who have been removed from mainstream lessons or are based in specialist provision.
  • Help students re-engage with learning and develop positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work alongside teachers, pastoral staff, and SEN teams to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, using patience and empathy to encourage progress.
