Trafalgar Talent is excited to be recruiting on behalf of an award-winning cybersecurity company headquartered in Fareham, Hampshire. Due to ongoing success and growth, theyre seeking a Chromium Browser Developer to join their talented development team.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of privacy-focused browser innovation. You'll play a key role in building and enhancing a custom Chromium-based browser that protects users across multiple platforms and devices.
What Youll Do:Develop, maintain, and enhance features within a Chromium-based browser.
Implement and optimise security and privacy enhancements.
Collaborate closely with browser extension teams for seamless integration.
Write clean, efficient, well-documented C++ code.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance and security issues.
Contribute to code reviews, testing, and quality assurance efforts.
Strong proficiency in C++.
In-depth knowledge of the Chromium open-source project (e.g., custom build processes, extension APIs, localisation).
Proven experience in browser or similar systems-level development.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A passion for security, privacy, and delivering high-performance software.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
Salary: £55,000 £65,000
Performance Bonus: Up to 10% annually
