Trafalgar Talent is excited to be recruiting on behalf of an award-winning cybersecurity company headquartered in Fareham, Hampshire. Due to ongoing success and growth, theyre seeking a Chromium Browser Developer to join their talented development team.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of privacy-focused browser innovation. You'll play a key role in building and enhancing a custom Chromium-based browser that protects users across multiple platforms and devices.

What Youll Do:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance features within a Chromium-based browser.

  • Implement and optimise security and privacy enhancements.

  • Collaborate closely with browser extension teams for seamless integration.

  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented C++ code.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance and security issues.

  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and quality assurance efforts.

What Were Looking For:
  • Strong proficiency in C++.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Chromium open-source project (e.g., custom build processes, extension APIs, localisation).

  • Proven experience in browser or similar systems-level development.

  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • A passion for security, privacy, and delivering high-performance software.

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
