Job Vacancy: HLTA / Mentor Specialist - SEN Provision

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 24,000 - 28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
A specialist SEN provision in Fareham is seeking a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Mentor Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions and mentoring for pupils with SEN
- Support teaching and learning through small group and one-to-one sessions
- Assist in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent mentoring/SEN experience
- Experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Resilience, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
