Senior Commercial Insurance Broker

Salary up to £60,000 a year, full-time, Monday to Friday - Faringdon, Oxfordshire - Hybrid working available

Out client is looking for a Senior Commercial Insurance Broker to join their progressive team. This role comes with:

  • An existing book of business
  • The chance to develop your own portfolio of standard and non-standard Commercial Insurance Accounts, Risks, and Schemes.

We're seeking someone who has:

  • Worked with Commercial Insurance risks in a position of responsibility
  • A proven track record of success
  • The ability to coach, train, and support junior team members
  • Excellent technical insurance knowledge
  • The self-confidence to engage effectively with clients' boards and board members

Responsibilities

As a Senior Commercial Insurance Broker, you will:

  • Manage an existing book of commercial clients, from SMEs to large corporate accounts.
  • Cultivate strong relationships by delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Grow the current book through:
    • Cross-selling and business development initiatives.
    • Leveraging existing insurer facilities across the UK and EU/EEA.
    • Expanding our current schemes and target markets.
  • Operate strictly within regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide support to other team members to ensure all clients receive a first-class service.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in General Commercial Insurance
  • 3+ years of experience in generating and placing new business
  • Experience broking within the EU/EEA is a plus, as is knowledge of arranging insurance for companies trading internationally.
  • Driving license
