Make Your First Move Count: Acquisitions Accountant Opportunity
Are you currently in practice and looking to make your first move into industry? Here's your chance to step into a commercially focused, hands-on finance role with real impact from day one.
We're looking for an ambitious and analytically minded Acquisitions Accountant to join our dynamic Acquisitions Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in audit or accounts preparation to break into a fast-paced, strategic finance environment.
In this role, you'll work alongside our Senior Acquisitions Accountant and the wider Finance Team, getting involved in every stage of the acquisition lifecycle-from due diligence and financial modelling to post-deal integration and helping to wind down acquired businesses efficiently.
What You'll Do:
-
Dive into financial analysis and due diligence to evaluate acquisition targets.
-
Assist with deal structuring, acquisition pricing, and tracking value from offer to completion.
-
Support the smooth integration of new businesses into our Group, including finance processes and reporting.
-
Help prepare month-end and year-end accounts for acquired entities, and work with external accountants.
-
Collaborate with teams across the business to deliver accurate, timely reporting and insight.
-
Drive efficiency by helping wind down acquired subsidiaries to dormancy.
Why This Role?
-
Excellent exposure to high-level decision-making and M&A strategy.
-
Great step out of practice into a varied, commercially focused role.
-
Work with senior finance leaders and cross-functional teams.
-
Be part of a fast-growing, acquisition-focused business where your input truly matters.
-
Gain hands-on experience in financial modelling, reporting systems (e.g. Adaptive), and corporate integration.
If you're ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with a solid grounding in financial reporting, accounts prep, or audit-and you're ready to get stuck into real-world business challenges-this could be the ideal launchpad for your career in industry.
Step out of the spreadsheet. Step into strategy.
