Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Secondary School in Farnborough
GSL Education is proud to partner with a well-regarded secondary school in Farnborough to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor. This full-time, term-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about education and considering a future teaching career.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Cover Supervisor
- Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
- Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm
- Contract: Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. Your primary duties will include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across various subjects.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Ensuring students remain engaged and on task during lessons.
- Providing support to students to facilitate their learning and development.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of GCSE level qualifications, with Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A positive and flexible attitude with the ability to use initiative.
- Experience working with young people in a professional setting is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
