Job Description:

Recruit UK are working on an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner in Farnborough to join a well-established UK Independent Financial Advice firm. The successful candidate will be working within an established Paraplanning team, the key purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive paraplanning support to their Independent Financial Advisers.

You will be responsible for researching, analysing and compiling financial planning reports in conjunction with your advisers, ensuring compliance with both internal and external business quality standards.

Paraplanner- Role Overview

A Paraplanner supports Financial Advisers by handling non-client-facing tasks such as research, analysis, and preparation of financial plans and reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess client financial information and objectives
  • Identify gaps in Know Your Client (KYC) data
  • Analyse existing financial arrangements and recommend improvements
  • Research financial solutions using tools and software
  • Prepare clear, compliant reports and client communications
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready client files
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and internal process adherence
  • Support team development through peer reviews
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge and personal skills

Ideal Candidate:

  • Knowledge of financial planning, products, and regulation
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Able to prioritise and manage workload independently
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and financial planning software
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset
  • Working towards or holding a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CIIDipPFS preferred)
  • Degree-level education advantageous
