We are seeking a dedicated Resistant Materials Teacher to deliver a high-quality educational experience, reflecting the policies, aims, and values of our school. This role is crucial in enabling every student to achieve their maximum potential and requires a commitment to exceptional teaching and learning practices.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to assigned students and classes, ensuring all students are engaged and progressing.
  • Prepare, organise, and deliver lessons using appropriate materials and resources, adhering to established programmes of study.
  • Implement teaching methods that are consistent with department and school policies, catering to the diverse educational needs of pupils.
  • Maintain effective classroom discipline and promote the general progress and wellbeing of individual students and any assigned class or group.
  • Assess student performance, prepare pupils for internal and external examinations, and adhere to school and departmental assessment policies.
  • Provide advice and guidance to students on educational and social matters, maintaining records of achievement and needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and participate in scheduled meetings including departmental, pastoral, and staff meetings.
  • Engage in further training and professional development to continuously improve teaching practices and methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
