Project Manager - Farnborough (Hybrid 3 days onsite) - Circa 450-500 per day (Outside IR35)
My client is a UK-based consultancy serving the UK defence sector. They are on the hunt for a Project Manager with a background in Data Centre Cabling to join their existing experienced team. If you have current and active SC clearance then this would help your application, however, you must be SC eligible.
You will need a focus on people, you will need to be comfortable embracing our values, standards and our ways of working:
- Delivery focus - Providing benefit through iterative delivery.
- Experience in working with multiple project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat 5e, Cat 6, fibre optic) and associated containment methods.
- Experience in managing low voltage infrastructure projects (data, voice, video, wifi)
- Familiarity/experience in delivery of network rooms/comms rooms/data centers.
- Market experience working within the UK Defence & Security sector is advantageous.
- Teamwork - Enthusiasm to work cooperatively and supportively with others.
- Communication - Based on high emotional intelligence, able to listen and question effectively, with concise verbal and written communication skills and effective questioning/listening skills. Able to communicate with confidence at higher and lower levels.
- Flexibility - Willing to deliver on a broad range of tasks from providing advice on improving client's delivery to 'rolling up your sleeve's to assist the team and customer in delivery.
- Customer focus - Keen to deliver a high level of customer value.
- Achievement - Looks to exceed customer aspirations and work to goals and manages obstacles. Energy, pride and determination in meeting targets and overcoming challenges.
- Initiative - Ability to analyse situations; decompose work into key tasks and activities; find the elusive solution.
- Development - Not willing to stand still. Wants to continually develop new skills and undertake personal training.
- Integrity - Promote a high professional standard at all times.
