About the Role:
A specialist SEN school in Farnborough is seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join their team full-time from November 2025. The role involves teaching students in Key Stage 2 or 3 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, within a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to SEMH learners.
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to support individual needs.
- Implement behaviour strategies and promote positive relationships.
- Track and report on student progress in line with EHCPs and school targets.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally in a SEN setting.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
