Payroll Administrator, Farnborough, £30,000 - £35,000
We’re looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our client’s finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payment to all staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
- Creating and maintaining employees’ payroll records.
- Calculating wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
- Entering payroll information into the system for processing.
- Issuing employees’ checks and earnings summaries.
- Completing payroll reports for finance management.
- Calculating PAYE and NI contributions.
- Performing the distribution of wages through issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Familiarity with payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- A good understanding of the UK payroll legislation and procedures.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
