SEND Learning Support Assistant – Full-Time (September Start)?? Location: Farnborough?? Start Date: September 2025?? Contract: Full-time, Term-Time OnlyWe are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team in Farnborough from September. This is a full-time role supporting young people aged 16–19 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an educational setting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.
  • Assist students with personal care when required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Support the development of communication, social, and independence skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to support student progress.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people with SEND is essential.
  • Comfortable and trained (or willing to be trained) to provide personal care.
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and support individual learning needs.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with post-16 learners or in a college/sixth form setting.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs, autism strategies, or communication aids.
