Supply Chain Manager - Defence Sector (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 months initially
Location: Flexible UK base - 3 days per week in Brussels initially
Day Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella only)
Security Clearance: Active SC or DV required

An exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a high-profile defence export programme. You'll play a key role in developing and managing international supply chain operations, supporting a multi-functional PMO team working with European defence partners.



Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement and supply chain activities across an international defence programme.

  • Build and manage supplier relationships and develop supplier strategies.

  • Identify and qualify suitable suppliers within the EU.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure compliance with governance and timelines.

  • Mitigate supply chain risks and contribute to successful project delivery.

  • Collaborate with UK and European stakeholders to drive programme outcomes.



Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior supply chain or procurement role within defence or government programmes.

  • Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills.

  • Experience managing full procurement lifecycles and supplier performance.

  • Working knowledge of EU regulations and cross-border supply chain management.

  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.

Desirable: Degree or MCIPS qualification; French or Dutch language skills.

Flexible working available, with regular travel required (approximately 60%, including Belgium).
