Our client, a privately owned garage located in Surrey, is seeking for a Car Mechanic to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle diagnostics, performing mechanical repairs, and carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.

Role: Car Mechanic

Salary: £34,000 -£38,000 per annum with MOT licence

£30,000- £34,000 per annum with no MOT licence

Hours: Day Shift pattern

Location: Camberley

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues.
  • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance work.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and report issues clearly to customers or supervisors.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify vehicle faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed and parts used.
  • Ensure workshop health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Keep up to date with MOT and vehicle repair industry standards.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Valid MOT Tester license (Class 4 minimum) issued by DVSA.
  • Proven experience as a vehicle mechanic or technician.
  • Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair.
