Estimator – Interior Fit-Out

Salary: £35k - £50k depending on experience

A well-established and growing interior fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, delivering high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the South of England.
Role Overview:
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with the Pre-Construction and Project teams, contributing to the company’s ongoing success in securing new business.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Cat A, Cat B, and refurbishment projects.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate take-offs.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date quotations and pricing.

Support in value engineering and offering alternative solutions to drive cost efficiency.

Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.

Work closely with the design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project handovers.

Maintain and update internal pricing databases and cost libraries.

Support with bid presentations and client pitches when necessary.
Requirements:

An understanding of the commercial fit-out process, including Cat A and Cat B projects.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
