We are looking for a full time Gardener to join our local authority client in Farnham, Surrey. This is a full time, all year-round opportunity.

The role requires previous experience as the Council Gardeners look after the flowers, plants, trees and green spaces across the local area.

In addition to grass and hedge cutting, maintaining tools and equipment are very important and are a large part of the job’s responsibilities. Driving company vehicles are also necessary so a full, manual driving licence is essential.

A special focus is put on health and safety regulations, which should be followed at all times.

The main duties of this job include:

• All manner of grounds maintenance including litter picking and leaf clearance
• Pruning trees and shrubs
• Planting
• Using lawn mowers and hedge trimmers to cut grass and shrubs
• Removing weeds
• Cleaning machinery and equipment and ultimately ensuring green public spaces are tidy, healthy and thriving.
