Role Purpose

To manage domestic and commercial electrical compliance works, including remedial tasks and supporting capital projects, ensuring adherence to regulations and internal policy. The role ensures all electrical safety requirements are met, records are accurate, and contractors deliver high-quality, cost-effective services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical servicing, maintenance, and capital works programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and management systems.
  • Act as first point of contact for electrical compliance incidents and risk assessments.
  • Manage contractor performance, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Chair operational meetings and produce reports for service improvement.
  • Liaise with residents and stakeholders, providing clear communication on works.
  • Assist with procurement and leasehold consultations.
  • Manage additional electrical-related contracts (lifts, alarms, heating systems).
  • Deputise for M&E Manager when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of electrical compliance regulations.
  • Experience in contract management and budget control.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, and GDPR.

Dimensions

  • Approx. 4,800 annual domestic electrical safety checks.
  • Oversight of lift services and electrical heating systems.
  • Budget responsibility up to 2m per annum.
