School Caretaker - Faversham
Location: Faversham, Kent
Salary: From 14 per hour
Hours: Full-time (split shifts may be required)
Academics are working with an excellent primary school in Faversham who are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join their friendly and supportive team.
As a caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the school premises are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out day-to-day maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks around the site.
Opening and closing the school premises, including security checks.
Managing cleaning supplies and liaising with cleaning staff.
Ensuring the school grounds are clean, tidy, and safe.
Monitoring health and safety standards and reporting any issues.
Assisting with setting up rooms for events and school activities.
Liaising with contractors and supervising on-site works when required.
We are looking for someone who:
Is hardworking, reliable, and takes pride in their work.
Has good practical skills and basic knowledge of building maintenance.
Understands the importance of health and safety regulations.
Can work independently and use their initiative.
Is friendly, approachable, and flexible to meet the needs of the school.
Experience working in a similar role, or a background in trades/maintenance, would be advantageous.
