Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Maintenance Controllers in the Suffolk area interested in working as a full-time Maintenance Controller.
In this position you'll be responsible for coordinating the maintenance, servicing, and repairs of their plant fleet, ensuring equipment is safe, available, and ready to meet client needs.
This is a permanent, employed position working for a family-run company owned by a wider group of companies. They can offer 23 days holiday + other benefits.
Role Profile
- Issuing authority to suppliers for trailer maintenance work.
- Schedule and manage all planned maintenance and servicing activities.
- React promptly to breakdowns and organise urgent repairs.
- Liaise with workshop staff, suppliers, and external engineers.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Monitor fleet performance and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Desired Applicant Profile
- Experience in a maintenance/engineering control role (ideally in plant hire, construction or similar).
- Full UK Clean Driver's Licence.
- Based in Suffolk or able to commute to Felixstowe.
- Good telephone manner for dealing with breakdowns and advising customers of service work/MOT's that are due.
- Strong technical knowledge of plant equipment and machinery.
