We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our Clients Operations team. The primary focus of this role is to conduct analytical testing on both raw materials and finished products. You will be essential in controlling and maintaining the quality of our product range, ensuring all documentation is kept up-to-date, and guaranteeing that internal and external audit requirements are met.

  • Salary - 34029 (16.36 per hour)
  • Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30
  • Long contract; potentially temp to perm opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis & Testing:

    • Carry out analysis on finished products and raw materials according to the work schedule, using approved analytical methods.

    • Perform analysis and operations to agreed work plans and schedules.

    • Take or organise samples for analysis and participate in the control of the plant's museum sample.

    • Prepare samples for transportation to customers or external laboratories.


  • Quality & Compliance:

    • Produce and report valid, accurate analytical results in a timely manner.

    • Immediately report any out-of-specification results, non-conformance or any aspects of laboratory operation that could be prejudicial to the service.

    • Ensure only properly calibrated equipment is used in line with environmental, safety, quality, and GMP standards.

    • Work within the requirements of the Quality Management Systems, reporting any non-compliance.

    • Strictly comply with laboratory results reporting systems and timescales.


  • Health, Safety & Environment:

    • Comply with the company's Health & Safety procedures and all relevant legislation.

    • Maintain and promote the highest standards of Health & Safety within the laboratory.

    • Clean and maintain the laboratory environment to the hygiene levels required by world-class manufacturing standards and Food Handling Regulations.


  • Operations & Administration:

    • Carry out work activities by following written standard operating procedures.

    • Ensure the correct registration of all results.

    • Take responsibility for the continuity of laboratory operations beyond your own shift pattern to ensure safe continuation of work.
