The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records by recording, verifying, consolidating, and inputting financial data. This role requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyse, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts to guide business decisions.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate the year-end audit process, ensuring all financial data and reports are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings, including VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheets, bank statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Internal Controls: Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Variance Analysis: Provide analysis of financial performance against budgets and previous periods, highlighting key variances and trends.
  • Systems & Processes: Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, as well as internal stakeholders across various departments.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance with extensive relevant experience with CPA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working with SAP.
  • Can do attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in an accounting firm or in industry.
