The Maintenance Supply Company are a long established Janitorial supplier seeking  a Business Development Manager who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities, and driving sustainable growth. If you're commercially savvy, proactive, and motivated by results, we want to hear from you.

As our BDM, you’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, and working alongside internal teams to deliver a consultative solution based offering of supply.

Your job is to understand what clients need—and deliver tailored solutions that keep them coming back.

Reporting directly to me (Sales Director), you’ll be a key player in delivering growth and a high standard of customer support.

You'll have full support from myself and the rest of the team, but the drive and day-to-day success will be yours to lead.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities
  • Build and nurture relationships from procurement to stakeholder level
  • Hit sales and profit targets through exceptional service and smart negotiation
  • Work with ops to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded
  • Contribute to strategic planning and reporting
  • Represent The Maintenance Supply Company brand with integrity, ambition, and professionalism

What I'm Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales/account management experience (ideally in janitorial/FM sector)
  • A natural relationship-builder with commercial acumen
  • A confident negotiator with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to team success
  • Strong planning, time management, and communication skills
  • Tech savvy—comfortable with CRM, MS Office, and mobile working tools
