Ocean Import Coordinator - Feltham - Up to 35,000

Our client, who are a known logistics company are looking for an Ocean Import Coordinator to join their team in Feltham. As Ocean Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate handling of ocean import shipments, ensuring smooth freight movement and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all internal and external regulations.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 17:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of ocean import shipments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry and document handling.
  • Track and trace shipments, ensuring smooth workflow using the global import system.
  • Communicate with customers to arrange shipments and provide updates.
  • Collaborate with brokers, carriers, and other partners for customs and delivery coordination.
  • Handle billing for clients and vendors accurately and on time.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor and meet performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Attend and complete mandatory training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Ocean Imports for a UK based freight forwarder
  • Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
  • Strong understanding of UK freight procedures
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office (and/or other logistics platforms)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments
