Ocean Import Operations - Heathrow - Feltham | Up to 35,000 DOE

We are working with a well-established global, growing freight forwarder with multiple sites across the UK (10+ locations) to find a new Ocean Import Freight Forwarder for their Feltham office.

The company has a high staff retention rate and have a great reputation for looking after their staff. They have a really strong presence in the market and are unaffected by recession fears or recent US tariffs.

Package:

  • 30,000 - 35,000, depending on experience
  • 23 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service) plus 8 bank holidays

Experience Required:

  • Experience in Ocean freight forwarding
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate international ocean import shipments from origin to destination
  • Book cargo space with ocean carriers and arrange inland transportation
  • Manage and verify all required shipping and customs documentation
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and oversee customs clearance
  • Communicate effectively with shippers, consignees, carriers, and customs brokers
  • Provide clients with timely tracking updates and shipment visibility
  • Assist in arranging marine cargo insurance as needed
  • Proactively address shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies
  • Coordinate final delivery to consignee, including special delivery requirements
