Ocean Import Supervisor

Location: Feltham
Salary: Up to 45,000 (dependent on experience) + strong bonus structure
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (flexible)

We are recruiting an experienced Ocean Import Supervisor to join a leading global logistics organisation in Feltham. This is a key supervisory role, responsible for leading the Ocean Import team, driving operational and financial performance, and supporting both people and process development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all customer Standard Operating Procedures are followed

  • Review and support daily quotations

  • Plan and lead team huddles and monthly meetings, sharing market intelligence and delegating workloads

  • Support the transition of new business and updates to existing accounts

  • Drive department revenue growth in line with budget targets

  • Support compliance initiatives and team training

  • Monitor workflows and identify areas for efficiency improvements

  • Assist with system changes and process enhancements

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, trucking companies, and vendors

  • Support performance reviews, goal setting, and staff development



Skills & Experience Required

  • University degree or equivalent business qualification

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in ocean freight or global logistics

  • Previous supervisory or senior operational experience

  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills

  • Proven ability in problem solving, conflict resolution, and process improvement

  • Experience coaching and developing teams

  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills

  • Software proficiency including MS Excel (formulas & pivot tables) and MS Word

  • Excellent understanding of ocean import operations

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
