The role:
As Ocean Freight Import Supervisor, you will:
Oversee day-to-day import operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service to clients
Manage a small team, providing leadership, guidance, and support
Coordinate import shipments from origin to delivery, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal departments
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction
Support management with reporting, KPIs, and operational planning
About you:
Proven experience in ocean freight imports within a freight forwarding environment
Strong knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure
IT-literate with experience in freight management systems
A proactive, team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering service excellence
