TRANSPORT PLANNING SUPERVISOR

BASED: POLAR SPEED UPS - 648 River Gardens, Feltham, TW14 0RB

HOURS : 06:00 - 15:00 - SUNDAY - THURSDAY - 40 HOURS PER WEEK

SALARY: £35,000.00 PER ANNUM

The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. We are now looking for a Transport Planning Supervisor to join our busy team at the Feltham depot.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a transport planning operation.

We are looking for a candidate who has a proactive attitude, who can work collaboratively with all departments across the network.

Key responsibilities:

Daily scheduling of dynamic delivery routes using computerised routing systems.

Prepare resourcing plans for both personnel and vehicles.

To ensure email, telephone and postal queries are answered in a timely manner.

Access the best solutions for network, third party deliveries/collections and hybrid solutions.

Produce and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports and updates

.Overall supervision of planning operations, fleet operations and outsourced service providers

.Adhere to all required SOP's, Work instructions and guides.

.Ensure resource targets are recruited, maintained and trained.

.Organise sickness and holiday cover for planning staff.

.All other relevant tasks and duties set out in daily check sheets.

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

Good IT skills, MS Office, routing systems such as paragon an advantage.

Excellent administration skills.

.Good geographical knowledge.
