Quality Inspector - Precision Engineering (Aerospace & Defence)

Location: Ferndown
Salary: 35k to 36K (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Do you enjoy working with high-accuracy components and ensuring they meet the strictest aerospace standards?

TeamJobs is excited to partner with a long-established and growing engineering company in Ferndown, who manufacture high-precision components for the aerospace and defence sectors. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team.



What you will be doing

  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-machined components

  • Producing FAIRs (EN9102 Rev C) and completing all required documentation

  • Using a wide range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and optical systems

  • Operating and programming CMM equipment (Aberlink Axiom Too preferred, but training offered for the right candidate)

  • Conducting incoming goods inspection and ensuring full traceability

  • Supporting root cause and corrective action investigations

  • Working closely with machinists, engineering and quality teams to maintain the highest manufacturing standards



What we are looking for

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within aerospace, defence, or precision engineering

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T

  • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality systems

  • FAIR / EN9102 experience

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and contribute to continuous improvement
