Job Title: Grinder
Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: £18.00 – £21.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, Day Shift (39 hours/week) 7am to 5.15pm

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role working with high-spec machinery and tight tolerances, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate grinding machines to produce precision components
- Manual machines such as Jones and Shipman and Myfords, also Studer experience would be advantageous
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet required tolerances
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with the wider production team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in cylindrical grinding within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
