Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years or SEN?

Do you have the skills to work with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and provide tailored 1:1 support?

We're looking for a confident and creative individual to join a new-build primary schools in Fleetwood. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's life starting this September, working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team.

You'll work Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, at a competitive rate of £13.50-£15 per hour.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a specific pupil, focusing on their attainment, personal, social, and emotional development.

  • Preparing and adapting resources and activities to match the child's interests and learning style.

  • Collaborating with a team of TAs and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the child's development.

  • Monitoring the pupil's progress and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.

  • Managing challenging behaviors with a calm and proactive approach.

The school's team-based approach means you'll rotate with other TAs to help the child build independence.

Essential Requirement
  • A TA qualification (Level 2 or 3).

  • Experience with EHCPs or IEPs.

  • Prior experience working with young people and SEN or learning difficulties.

  • The ability to engage with and build rapport with children.

  • A creative, flexible, and proactive supporting style.
