Our client, a family run business with three divisions, are seeking a Management Accountant to cover the group.
Reporting to the director, and working with a Sales Ledger Assistant and HR/Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for supervisingall accounting functions
Key responsibilities would include:
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
- Daily transaction processing of sales, purchases, financial adjustments into Sage
- Month-end inventory valuation report
- Monthly rolling P&L forecasts
- HMRC filings. CIS Returns, VAT Returns. P11D returns
- Preparation of detailed annual budgets
- Site cost control and cost-reduction activity monitoring
- Analysis of monthly performance: sales and margins; customer profitability; costs vs budget and prior year
The ideal Management Accountant will have a track record of driving and stream-lining processes, possess an analytical mind, be good with people, calm under pressure and be able to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy.
You will also have:
- Accounting qualifications, ACCA/AAT
- Comfortable with standard costing processes
- Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload
- Dedicated and willing to work to support the business needs
- Strong IT skills especially Sage & MS Office
The current Management Accountant works a 4 day week, although a 5 day week will be considered for the right candidate. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days in the office will also be considered. You will need to be able to drive, and have access to a vehicle, due to the location of the site. Free on-site parking is available.
