Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher who is fluent in Welsh to join our dedicated team in North Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach and inspire students through the medium of Welsh, while contributing to a strong humanities department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Teach through the medium of Welsh and promote bilingualism across the curriculum.
  • Plan, assess, and report on student progress in line with school and national standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and cross-curricular projects.
  • Support extracurricular activities, including trips, clubs, and historical events.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Welsh and English (spoken and written).
  • A degree in History or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching Welsh history and the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Ability to contribute to other areas of the humanities.
  • Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities.
